Cabinet design and cabinet installation – It’s about you, your tastes, and your style!
At 50 Lakes Cabinet Design, our goal is to make your home everything you want it to be. It’s personal from the beginning and we get to know you, your tastes, and your style. From there, with our cabinet design and cabinet installation services, we create living spaces that make dreams come true.
Cabinet design services
To help you visualize your dream space, our cabinet design services utilize state-of-the-art Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) software to create our artistic 3D renderings. With this software, we are able to create drawings that include appliances, lighting, and countertops to help us plan your space. We’ll then help you incorporate these elements into your project, ensuring everything is exactly how you want it!
What inspires you? Go ahead and dream!
You’ve been thinking about this project for some time now. Putting together your wish list is a great first step. Create your wish list and then rank the items in order of importance. There are so many places for you to get inspiration for your project both online (Pinterest, Houzz.com) and in print. Feel free to gather ideas for your project and share them with us. We can even create collaboration spaces on Pinterest and Houzz for your projects!
Some Wish List Considerations
- What do you not like about your current space?
- What items (i.e., cabinetry, flooring, fixtures) do you want to put the most money into?
- If necessary, what items are you willing to save money on?
- What are your storage/organization needs?
- What type of lighting do you need for your space?
- Are you planning for a new home?
- Do you need a design that will accommodate replacing your existing kitchen while adding or removing walls?
Establish your investment range. Ok, not quite as much fun – but equally important.
Even if you’re not sure about your budget, it’s good to have a high and low end in mind. This will help to keep us grounded a little bit. If funds are limitless, there is nothing we can’t do!
It’s time to setup an in-home consultation with our cabinet design team
Our initial meeting will be a chance for us to learn more about you….We get to know you, your tastes, and your style. If this project is for your kitchen we want to know how you live, cook, and entertain. If it’s your bathroom or other room, we want to know how that space is lacking and how it will be used in the future – what you are hoping to achieve. This is where we will take a look at your wish list and dig into what inspires you.
Once we have an idea of what your goals are we’ll take some pictures and measurements of the area being renovated. We’ll put pencil to paper and sketch out the initial floor plan to make note of electrical, plumbing, doorways, windows, etc. This will help us with the next step which is where everything starts to come together in the design process.
If you live in a different part of the country, we can still do this! Just download and follow the steps for completing measurements for your space here: 50 Lakes Cabinet Design Measure Guide
Let’s get creative
Once we have thoroughly understood your goals and your budget, we will begin the design work. We’ll start out by putting together the design and presenting you with the original Perspective View. If we ‘nail it’ on the first try we’ll call that a miracle and move on to the next step. We’ll ask for your feedback and make changes based on your feedback until you are 100% happy with the design we’ve come up with.
After we are set with a design, we will need to get appliance and fixture specifications from you to ensure that the floor plan we have come up with will accommodate everything in your space. We will present floor plans and elevations for your approval, assist in decision making, advise on product selection, and work with your contractors/subcontractors if we are not doing the cabinet installation. There is no need to worry, we guide you every step of the process. You will become very familiar with our team. We believe in a collaborative effort, one where the homeowner, designer, staff, and trades work together toward the common goal. The goal being the realization of your dream home.
This is a wonderful, family-owned company. David and Jackie worked together… The price was very reasonable, their work was perfect, they were neat and tidy, they arrived each day just as promised and they completed the work a little ahead of schedule. I felt very comfortable with them and left them to work alone in my home. They are very professional in every way and I recommend them highly.
